Telling Employer

I'm looking for some information if anyone can help i'd be very grateful. I'm just 12 weeks pregnant with my third child, I'm working on a casual basis at the moment and just wondering is there a specific date I should inform my employer.

Its only 4 weeks before you're due to go on maternity leave that you 'have' to tell them.

I told my supervisor yesterday, I'm 15+4 along but starting to get a bit of a bump so decided to tell her before she copped herself. If I wasnt showing I would have left it a bit longer.

Once it's earlier than this then it's really whenever you feel comfortable doing it. I told my employer at 6 weeks because my job involved a lot of lifting and I'd had a threatened miscarriage so I really had to be careful. I only told my manager though, the rest of the office was told after 12 weeks once I knew everything was ok. I was starting to show a bit then so I preferred to tell everyone myself rather than have them guessing/speculating behind my back
