I think Je ne regette rien is a classic song to back you up. It means 'I regret nothing' which was suitable to Thomond as he had no regrets about going to see Connacht!

I'm not sure if that comes across. :pac:

I'm sure the real Connacht folk would have had the same feelings as you did Thomond :)

Lads I've listened to a few of these and this was the best one yet.
Everyone's voices were clearer, there seemed to be a much better structure and the conversation was very intelligent.
Plus Thomond's epic sign-off for Connacht.

Thanks PaJunior, would you be interested in getting involved with the show.

Even if you don't want to come on an talk on it, you can listen to it live and enter your point which we then read out during the show.

Any suggestions for topics for next week? We will have more time available to discuss more generic issues as the provinces are only in Pro12 action this weekend.

Well the games are usually cack and uninteresting! Hope you're wrong of course!

I reckon another England talk is mandatory, the reports were leaked the day after this show was recorded.

I wonder what Ulster fans make of your comments? I'd say the majority of them agree with you.

Thanks for the offer but a combination of me being too biased, too unintelligent and too busy means I'll have to say no thank you.

    Although I have been told I've a face for radio . . .

    I'll tune in again.

To make tuning in again easier for you:

    1. We're available on the iTunes Store directory, type in "Talking Rugby" into the search bar and you'll find the show and be able to subscribe.

    2. or you can also suscribe via our RSS feed http://talkingrugby.podomatic.com/rss2.xml

You can find old episodes here: http://talkingrugby.podomatic.com/

For anyone that was using theworldstalking RSS feed, the Talking Rugby shows are being hosted on a different podomatic account now to the other shows so AFAIK you'll need to subscribe to the above feed to get the latest shows.

That will be a popular choice around here! :pac:

Lads any suggestions for topics to discuss next week, to go along with a RD Pro12 Review (you win there jacothelad!)

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 217 ✭✭Davekoolhill

Ha ha thomond, I knew you would find that more people would be interested in the RD Pro 12

the provinces are only in Pro12 action this weekend.

    Oh, Thomond. :(

Ah potential talking point on the show, perhaps? The importance and progress of the league as a whole?

That show is good enough to be on the radio. It is certainly the best rugby chat show I've listened to in Ireland.

glad you enjoyed the show. If you would like to be involved, just drop us a mail to TheWorldsTalking@gmail.com

How about a section where you all take on one aspect of the game ye would like changed [or not changed]?

For example, one week you could pick the scrum. Talk about what changes you would like to see implemented to improve it, what you would like to stay the same etc.

The following week you could talk about the lineout etc.

That's a great suggestion Octagon, we could suggest testing new rules in the RD pro 12

Not sure it's a realistic option. It's hard enough to get three people along with Dave (who has commitments to other shows) all free at the same time to do it. Ideally, the three people should be from different provinces also to give a better spread on the information. Limits things massively. All involved have the usual family, college, evening courses, training etc.

To go along with what Ger says, if we were to do 2 a week it would be overkill.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the show castie. :)

Lads we'd appreciate if you could retweet or click 'like' just below the show title, we're trying to win this youreport thing. It would really put us out there but we have to be in the top4 to be in with a chance.

The two articles ahead of us got 200ish views overnight, dunno how they did it!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 217 ✭✭Davekoolhill

Yes and if we do win it this week, G Hook will give a mention to our show live on air!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

This week's show is being recorded tonight.

The panel is myself, jacothelad and a leinster fan from another forum. We might also have another poetry slot this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Is it possible to listen live?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Is it possible to listen live?

    At the moment, no.

We have lads on the team that listen in on the skype call and comment on the IM during the recording, I did that last week.

Streaming live is something we'll explore down the line I'm sure.
