    anybody know where these can be got cheaply online? i will need a good few for a project!!

    Homemade led bulbs project? Edit- dur didn't read the post right first. Maybe dealextreme would have something if you can wait a month.

    I have used these in the past.

    I had a Volvo where the originals had the bulbs joined to the base so I had to buy new ones to get the bulbs I wanted in.

    You need to have a location to mount these. They are a Twist n Lock so you need to assemble something suitable

    cheers. how thick would the base for these need to be? what way are they wired?
