I read on his twitter account - "Can't wait for America next summer... Deserve a year off the hurling I'm burnt out".

Big shame if this is true, he is a wonder to watch and Tipp need to come out fighting this year to show they have what it takes to win a few All Irelands in a row.

Would be a massive shame but if his heart isn't in it, would be better to let someone else have the shot.

May there be a chance that his account was hacked? If I remember correctly, Noel McGrath's twitter account was hacked a few weeks ago saying that he was heading to Australia, which he then had to come out and say it was all shíte talk.

If he is gone, it will be a big loss to Tipp, but I wouldn't read it as set in stone just yet.

It's not true, this has happened on about 6 GAA players twitters and the hype caused by it all is something else! Happened 3 alone from Tipp that I know of

I am glad to hear this, I really hope he plays in the 2012 CS. It's such a crucial year for Tipperary and the whole country knows they have it in them to beat this KK team again. Nobody wants to go back to the dark ages of Kilkenny dominance.

As con the cat says this is 100% not true, I talked to Paraic about this and he confirmed it was a practical joke by one of hes mates, the same was done to Shane McGraths twitter where thay said he was off to Austraila.

Paraic was unemployed for a while but has recently got a full time job with Coillte and is raring to go for next year, good news indeed for all, well all in Tipp anyhow
