ATPL Distance courses

    Simple question, I want to get my ATPL exams while holding onto my job for another few months.
    Can anyone recommend a school or company that offers this service?
    Also has anyone experience doing this while working the 9-5 shift. How was it? How long did it take?

    Bristol is good. Remember you'll have to go there for the classroom part of the course. NFC do it too, closer to home.

    I didn't do the current round of exams but I did manage to get through the old style essay type Irish CPLs and ATPLS while holding down a 8:30 to 5:00 job. While using the books intended for the CAA exams, without computers or anything fancy like that, by candlelight, ok I'm joking about the candlelight, it was a gas lamp.:) Ah those were the days!

    But seriously, it was tough going. You really do have to knuckle down, setting aside time for it. Giving up your weekends too. I used to come home from work, have dinner and then do a couple of hours. It's the only way. It is better to have someone to study with. It keeps up the motivation.

    It's a lot better now with interactive computers and mentors online.
