    Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations for accommodation on Gili T? We're there for christmas and are looking for a cheapish beach hut but are having trouble finding one? We know it's going to be more expensive as it christmas and high season and are prepared to spend a bit more. Our budget can extend to 500 euro for two weeks if needed but no more. Can anyone help?

Hey there I just got back from there a few weeks ago, very cool place!

I moved around different place's just to see what they were like. They were all pretty similar but the most I paid was under 25e each (First day just needed to sleep!) and the cheapest was under 7.50e per night.

I can't think of any names at the moment but ill get back to you. Main thing is be prepared to haggle big time and there are loads of cheaper place down the lanes only a 5 minute walk to a beach. There are place with no names its a mad place!

I really enjoyed it but I think 2 weeks may be a bit long to spend there. Gili T is the biggest but you'd still walk it in over an hour and the other two are even smaller.

Maybe do a few days on Lombok its really close and is bigger than Bali (so I was told, never made it there) but less commercialized. Supposed to be class!

Hope you have a great time anyway!
    Enjoy

I was hoping to do some diving there and we came across a place called Big Bubble Dive and Bungalows. It's supposed to be really good although we're not sure about the price. It's 350,000 a night so it roughly works out at €390 altogether for 13 nights - Dec 16th to 28th. They're fully booked from the 28th to Jan 1st so we'd have to find somewhere else to stay for that.

Part of us is eager to book now as we'll be there in 12 days and we're afraid everything reasonably priced will be full by the time we arrive due to Christmas but part of us thinks that a cheap hut when we arrive would be less straining on the wallet and then we could just go to a place like Bubble to dive and do courses. Although it is a risk at Christmas to just turn up on the doorstep and hope for something cheap isn't it?
