Restaurant Suitable for Grandmother

    Hi All,

    I am looking for advice on a suitable restaurant in City Centre/Dublin 2 area to bring my 84 year old Grandmother. The old dear is up in the big smoke for the weekend and I am finding it hard to think of some place suitable. Looking for somewhere with easy access/comfortable seating/friendly/decent Irish grub and reasonably priced

    How about The Brazen Head? It does nice food and, although it's not mega discount bargain cheap, it won't break the bank. It doesn't get too busy, so you should have plenty of room to sit down, and they often have trad music in the main bar room - but you can sit in the adjacent room so it won't be too noisy.

    If you want somewhere fancier, let me know and I'll get thinking. You have to make it special for your grandmother!! :)

    We went to this place by mistake one time.

    Easily the youngest couple in there by a quarter of a century.

    In fairness, though good food and an atmosphere I'd imagine an older person would enjoy.

    If you're booking Roly's let them know you want a downstairs table - the stairs can be hard on old knees.
