I'm heading up to the open day on 3rd December. Thinking of doing science (prob biology chemistry and maths to start), or maybe pharmacy. Found a list of talks that are on during the open day, any advice as to which ones would be best to go to for what I'm intending to study?

    Thanks!

Well, "SCIENCE: Overview of Science Courses" for a start.

I didn't go to the open day at all and it didn't disadvantage me, so don't worry about trying to do lots of stuff. The talks are just to attract students and give you an idea of what the course/college is like, but they're not something you have to go to or anything. Go to the overview and then pick out one or two talks that sound interesting.

Very true, my first time in Trinity was the day I was registering.

Same here. If you really want a good view of the courses there should be stands around for the different courses. I know for pharmacy there's a second or 3rd year manning one with some of the lecturers. You'd probably learn more from chatting to them than some of the talks

OP even looking up the course content yourself to make sure you enjoy it in the coming months is probably the most important

Thanks for all that. Yeah I've looked up basically everything i can, and I'm tied between pharmacy and common entry science, probably going on to a chemistry degree.

    Thanks again!

Can anyone tell me if tutorials will go ahead as scheduled on Friday in Arts? Haven't heard anything, and i've no idea if the smaller rooms upstairs will be affected by the open day.

Irrelevant question, but email your lecturer. As far as I know afternoon classes aren't cancelled.
