Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK i see alot of these threads but I couldn't find anything that relates to my circumstances. im looking for a laptop preferably Samsung, hp or Toshiba. I want reasonably good specs, good screen and hdmi port. Laptop is mainly used for web browsing, no gaming. budget is 500-600. On a final note, i would rather spend more on quality rather that cheap out on poor build.

You were very lucky with your last choice. I would avice you avoid Hps and compaqs with AMD chips. They tend to be very problematic. I prefer Dells.

If you have someone in the UK who can accept a parcel for you or know of a UK->Ireland parcel forwarding service you can try finding a laptop on the [URL=http://www.dell.co.uk/outlet[/URL]. Look for something out of the XPS (Consumer) or Latitude (Business) Series for a quality build.

I have a HP G72, 17" screen is great for browsing, handles games like Age of empires etc pretty well to just incase you do feel like having a go.

    I couldnt fault it anyway.

Its sturdy too, i came into the kitchen yesterday and found my 2 year old crawling on it.

This looks like pretty good value, check the uk argos site for reviews from customers who bought it...

Well I no problems with this so far and has decent 200GB memory so its very versatile laptop, good high performance and easy to carry around which suits my needs.

For me, with your budget I would be looking in the Intel Core i5 range.
You should be able to get a good well built laptop with an i5 within budget.

This Lenovo might tickle your fancy, good brand and very good laptop.

    Another good brand Asus,

Cheapest Core i5 Samsung on the site, over budget though,

Received this on Friday from littlewoods. Very happy! I would mention the gloss screen that came with this one. If you are using this for day to day work it would stress your eyes after a while not to mention a reflection if you're in a very bright room. The picture is crystal clear though and superb in darker conditions.

Apart from the spec which I feel is great value, it's a nice looking laptop. Received after 6 business days from littlewoods. 495
