Where are all my sky chanels gone?? Help

    Got home from work and typed in sone of my favourite channels...520 523 158 131 and all gone!! 429 also... Huge amount of channels saying channel unavailable! Can anyone explain? I don't want to tear someones head off in sky u less I really have to!

    Have you tried unplugging it to see if it resets?

    A lot of discovery channels, dave+1 espn classic and many many more! Ol unplug now and see

    Not just these channels are gone. Absolutely loads are gone, heaps of music channels and everything.. what's the story? :O

    And they're bck after unplugging!! Very strange! And worrying!

    The numbers you listed are all working for me with the exception of 131 which states is I unavailable.

    Problem with sky hd they updated there system and half people lost channels you have to ring sky and update new to get it fixed awful annoying.

    No need to ring Sky,sometimes their updates go a bit haywire.

    Simply hold the back up button on the box,plug it out and in again while still holding back up,the software should update then-if you do it right you get a message on screen telling you it's updating.

    the missing channels,might it be down to 2A,2B or 2D losing contact?
    one time a Satellite at 28.5 was sent a wrong command,it started to go up and down rather than left/right (in simple terms)
    anybody know off-hand if the missing channels were being broadcast from one particular Satellite at 28.5/2 ?

    Could it have been a botched attempt to transfer channels to 1N ?

    Got home this evening from work and all my other itv channels had gone. Must be something in the air here in Ireland today. Unplugged and they all returned without me having to re-tune.

    If anybody that has tuned in the Astra 1n tests is interested,the test formally known as Cream is now showing a HD Movie channel.FTA
    label is 20780.

    I am panicking, I had missing channels but they were in the 6** range and recordings were all failing. Then today all rte channels are gone, the ones that were missing are back and most of my "other channels" are breaking up and unwatchable. Signal health seems fine, I have unplugged, done a planner rebuild and even a forced update and all I have to show for it is that it seems recordings are working again. Quite honestly I'd love to take a sledgehammer to it right now so any helpful advice is most welcome.
