Hi, i need to recycle this dress for xmas party, will opaque black tights go with this dress? And if so i presume black peep toes are a no-no with tights. i need to invest in a pair of proper dressy high heels anyways so its not that big of a deal to buy a pair...so black tights yay or nay?

Cute dress.;) Black tights would be perfect, but ya, the peep toes would be a big no no.

Actually I like black tights with peep toes, but only with certain outfits. I don't think it would suit that dress though OP, so better to brave the cold and blue toes without tights, or buy a nie pair of closed toe heels!

Seriously? Whats wrong with them?
Reminds me of the women around town with slip on mules from guineys and tights - ugh!

I'd have to say no for the peep toes as well.

Tight's no matter what colour they are shouldn't be worn with peep toes.

If the peep is small and the tights are sheer I think it can look good, but not with opaques and the peep must be small. I'll confess, despite my gut reaction being if toes are out they must be naked, I can quite like this look...

I don't know, have a look at Sienna Miller, Petra Nemcova, Emily Blunt, and Heidi Klum

They all fairly rock the opaque tights and open toe look. I defy anyone to say they look like a Guiney's Granny!!

Lovely dress - I'd def wear black tights with it. I normally wear shoe boots or round toe shoes, simply cos I can't wear peep toe shoes :p but anything the celebs can do......:D

I don't know about the black tights, OP. The bottom half is sort of navy, I just don't see it working...Could you not wear clear tights and black peep toes?

The dress is royal blue and plum...
Hmmm i will by the tights tomorrow and try them out...have a week or so to make up my mind :D Will get a pair of black shoes anyways, just need to find a comfortable pair...Are the heels with the big platforms very uncomfortable, or does the extra platform on the sole make them a bit more comfortable?
Thanks for all the help :D

I think black tights might look a little drab... think it would look nicer with regular/ tan tights. or if you are going to wear black tights, maybe some 'fashion' tights, with polkadots or something like that?
I also think it would look much better with a bright shoe.. maybe a red, orange or green.
