    Hi all,

I am trying to install Flash Player 10.1 on a powerpc mac, and no luck. I checked the OS so am aware of the Flash version I can download. However during installation. it keeps crashing , not the computer, but the installation process, so I am currently left without flash on the mac....

any ideas?? I am downloading from the adobe website as.

It seems to install halfways, then just crashes.....error says "installation failed"

What version of OS X are you using ? Which PPC Mac is it ? This may be a problem with the version of the Mac OS you're running ?

Have you got an older version of Flash installed ? You could try removing it following the instructions here.

You might also try creating a new account on the Mac and try the installer from there ? Do you have any form of Anti-Virus system installed on the machine by the way ?

I don't think Flash 10.1 will run on anything less than an Intel Mac. Try searching for the last version of Flash Player for the PPC.

It tells me that I should install the latest version of 10.1 for PowePC.

I have tried various versions from this http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and uninstalled other versions etc.

So, I install the zipped folder, click on the flash, the icon appears in the dock/menu, but when I click to install, it crashes half way through the installation, bit of a bummer, means I have no youtube currently.... :(
