    have ye any easy way to learn them to have them at the top of your tongue.
    such as accusative
    fudgebow (fur, um durch, gegen, entlang, bis, ohne, wider)

    any thing like this for dative, dative/akkusative and genitive

    aus bei mit nach seit von zu gegenueber (dative)

    durch fuer gegen ohne um entlang (accusative)

    an auf hinter in neben ueber unter vor zwischen (accusative/dative depending on use)

    We rote-learned these lists in school nearly 30 years ago :eek: and I still remember them!

    ETA - really wish I could do umlauts!!!

    This is excellent for learning the two way preps.. the rest we just rote learned..

    Dative: aus, bei, mit, nach, seit, von, zu
    accusitive: durch, fur, gegen, ohne, um, weider, entlang, bis

    its like a little rythm.. :) Think of dative as beginning with a (aus) and accusitive as beginning wiith d (durch)
