    Hi All

I have a question about something I am doing in Word at the moment. Normally if you type in a few words on separate lines they obviously line up based on their first characters like so

    asdadasd
    asdasd
    asdasdsdasdsad
    asdasd
    sad

However I want to be able to line up the text like so

    .........asdadasd
    ............asdasd
    asdasdsdasdsad
    ............asdasd
    .................sad

Anyone kow how to do this easily. I'd like to be able to type more text to the RHS of each word after as well.

Sorry about the dots, only way it would display properly in the post
    Thanks in Advance

probably gonna need a table if you want more text to the right.

You could use columns, just make sure the borders are set to none and you use right alignment within the column. When you print it out you won't see the column used to construct it that way...

maybe someone else has a more ingenius way of doing it...

    Thanks for the replies...

I figured out if you use a high narrow text box you can type all the way down the page and then align the text within the box to the right edge. You can then type away on the rest of the page and it seems to work OK.

You just need to remove the border on the text box and you cannot see it.

    You could have used Tabs..

Make sure the Ruler is turned on (View > Ruler)
Then on the top left of the page (Below the Paste icon when on the Home Ribbon), click on the tab icon until it changes to a backwards L

(These cycle through Left Tab, Centre Tab, Right Tab, Decimal Tab, Bar Tab, First Line Indent, Hanging Indent [Subsequent Lies])

Once you have the Right Tab selected, click on the ruler at the place where you want the text to be right aligned (you can move this subsequently). On the line, press tab once, then start typing, text will be right justified. Press tab again to move to the next tab where it will default to the paragraph alignment (usually left align) and type any additional text you want
