Printing question...

You can mock me about this but I am actually a 3rd yr, yes, and I have no clue how to work the printers in the computer rooms!.. I hate asking stupid questions to people and this is the worst since only 1st yrs should be the ones having trouble with this kind of thing... So I come here to Boards asking someone if they wouldn't mind giving me a comprehensive run-down of the printing process, from start to finish.
You may begin your reply with "yes, you are a retard".

    Many thanks.

Fourth year here, never used printers in the computer rooms either. Don't feel silly. : p (Or maybe I should feel silly?)

I also went a stupidly long time without knowing how to do this.

    Short answer:

Go to computer room, "print" your document as normal, i.e. File -> Print -> Print.

Then go to the actual printer, type in your student number and press enter, enter your password (default is 9999), press enter, then you should see the title of the document on the screen, enter again to print it off.

If you're an SCSS student you can print for free.

Undergrad Computer Lab in the Lloyd. Tends to be used only by MSISS students but my understanding is it's open to other SCSS students. The PCs require an SCSS login.

Never been near that one, there's one in the Llyod common room(CS common room) too, no idea who has access.

Either way, all SCSS can use the laser printer in LG12 in ORI(Ham). Its often out of paper but tis free.

There's generally stacks of paper in the Hamilton CS rooms that people sometimes relocate to LG12. :p
