    I've read the first two Pern books fairly recently and enjoyed them a lot, I plan on reading more. I would have liked to meet her at a con or something to tell her how much I enjoyed her books.

    I wasnt a big fan of the Pern series. It did tend to Dragon a bit.

    Wow, sad news indeed. She's been wirting the Pern series longer than I've been alive and what a series it is. RIP.
