The next big IKF Kickboxing/K-1 show in Galway is our fourth edition of "Seasons Beatings" and that takes place in the Menlo Park Hotel on Saturday, December 3rd.
IKF All Ireland & 5 Nations champion Gary Manogue makes a mandatory first defence of his 5 Nations title against Mike Sandford from Swansea - both fighters are unbeaten so the caption is:
SOMEONES 'O' HAS GOT TO GO!
Also, Bryan Merrigan takes on tough Thaiboxer Josh Tannian from the Spartans gym in Cork for the vacant IKF All Ireland Low kicks Super welterweight title and Yvonne Mc Nevin takes on Waterfords Geina Mc Grath for the IKF All Ireland Flyweight title.
World champ Cathal Manning will square off with Dublins JJ Doran in a conventional Queensbury Rules Boxing match and theres a quality support card also, made up of Kickboxing & K-1 fights.
    Tickets are available now!

Best of luck with the show Pete, can't make this one due to being geographically challenged these days :)
Do you know how many fights on the card in total?

Anyone looking for a good night out in Galway should run to grab some tickets for this show, I caught one a while back and the atmosphere is tremendous.

The Annual "Seasons Beatings" International Kickboxing promotion in the Packed Menlo Park Hotel proved to be a real Christmas cracker for Galway fight fans as the action was second to none and with three major IKF Titles up for grabs between six well matched fighters, it was always going to be a war.
The main event featured Galway superstar Gary "Slick" Manogue making a mandatory first defence of his IKF 5 Nations crown against unbeaten Welshman Mike Sandford from Swansea and although Manogue earned a hard fought unanimous decision to claim victory, great credit must go to Sandford as he left nothing in the ring and the fight went to the wire.
Oughterard hard hitter Bryan "Mayhem" Merrigan took on Muay Thai specialist Josh Tannian from Spartans Thaiboxing camp in Cork for the vacant IKF All Ireland Super Welterweight Title and this was shaping up to be a cracker between two tough guys until midways through the very first round Merrigan caught Tannian with a vicious inside leg kick which dropped the Corkman.
Tannian was unfortunately unable to continue and Merrigan had become champion of Ireland in the very first round.
Tannian was gracious in defeat and Merrigan & his coach Pete Foley offered Tannian and his management the very first defence early in the new year.
One of the big success stories of the year came when 38 years old mum of two Yvonne "No Mercy" Mc Nevin took on Waterford lass Geina Mc Grath for the vacant IKF All Ireland Flyweight title.
Both girls went at it from the bell but Mc Nevin was relentless in her attacks and she sent Mc Grath to the canvas twice for 8 counts before the end of the first round but Mc Grath came to fight however and made it to the bell.
The second round was a bit closer but Mc Nevin always looked that bit stronger and in the third she broke through Mc Graths defence yet again and forced another standing count.
Mc Grath was in trouble now and Yvonne seemed to be getting stronger and stronger and the writing was on the wall for the Waterford fighter as Mc Nevin teed off on her in a savage attack that saw the opposite corner throw in the towel.
Galway once again had a brand new IKF All Ireland champion by TKO in round 4.
the fesults of the evenings fights are as follows:

1/ MORGYN KENNY (GALWAY) V Eoin Fitzpatrick (Tuam) (Exibition match, Draw)
2/ BRANDON MC MENAMIN (GALWAY) V ALEX O' TOOLE (WATERFORD) (Winner Mc Menamin by withdrawel)
