Failing non-exam modules :(

    really worried ive failed a non exam module...what does this mean exactly?

    AFAIK you don't progress to the next semester, though a scan of the academic regulations doesn't seem to explicitly mention this scenario. You can view them at http://www2.ul.ie/pdf/388196739.pdf

    Nothing more than failing any other module.

    You will get an F (or a comp fail if your lucky) on your transcript for Semester 1.

    There will be some method of repeat, before you begin next year in september 2012 or graduate. Your graduation would possibly be delayed from August 2012 to January 2013.

    This is dependant on how nice you can talk to your lecturer. It is possible at the discretion of a lecturer to repeat during semester 2.

    All in all not much different to failing an exam.
