Advice on laptop needed - Thanks!

Hi, can anyone advise as to whether this is a good laptop?

It's for general use & for my son's first year in college (fingers crossed!) beginning Oct 2012.

Not for gaming, graphics, or other heavy use!

that seems more than enough for day to day use internet office e-mal ect.. and for multimedia it'll play most content even HD content fairly well all . this should last a good few years for basic use.. i dunno about samsung as a make i've never owned one but so can't comment on that.. how much may i ask?

Looks like a good machine alright, looks to be highly speced enough to be future proofed for a few years. Since it's for college use, just make sure you're getting MS Office to go with it if you don't already have access to an installation disk.

It may work out more expensive this way to include office..check software4students you'll peob get office a good bit cheaper

I bought this laptop, very happy with it so far.
It turns on very fast with its quick start technology, impressed with that.
