    Hi my other half is in america with work for a year. I am a very poor student! I am stuck what to get that is cheap and cheerful and that i am allowed to post!!

    Any advice would be much appreicated :)

    You don't necessarily need to post anything. Why not just buy an Amazon voucher, or better still, an Aer Lingus voucher that will help contribute to his next flight home.

    You could always buy a few things on Amazon.com and have it delivered to him from there? Saves the hassle of getting it sent to you and then you sending it to him. You can have it gift wrapped too which helps.

    Where in the states is he? May help to narrow down some ideas.

    If I were you get him get him something from amazon and get it gift wrapped. Happened to me a couple of years ago, it bypass's crap postage and you save a few bob by not paying ripoff Irish prices.
