Sky + Error

Wondering if anyone can help. My sky box is aprox 2 years old. This evening when I went to view something in my planner the following message appeared

    A sky + error occured
    press select to restart
press back up to continue without
    sky + functionality

I restarted the box and the same thing happened again so I turned the power off and left it for a few minutes and the same error is still appearing.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or do I need a new box.

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried to do a planner rebuild?

If its a white sky + box
    Press services
    press 4, 0 1 then select
highly planner rebuild and then hit select, this is like defrag on a pc it will move things around on your drive and fix any problems but it will not delete any of your recordings.

If its the new sky plus (black box)
    press services
and hit 001 select planner rebuild.

    Thanks for the reply

Just trying the steps that you wrote,

    I have the white box.

When I go to services, then option 4 - System Setup

    I have options 1 - 8,
    1 is picture settings
    2 Sound settings
    3 language
    4 add channels
    5 system details
    6 signal test
    7 system test
    8 system health check

I cannot find a planner rebuild option

    any idea?

When in the system set up menu, press 0 1 (select)

Glad you got it sorted pity u lost your recordings but its a good idea to go a rebuild once in a blue moon when you have done a lot of recordings and deleted them etc.

Now that I know how to do it I'll give it a shot every once in a while, with 2 kids there are cartoons recorded and deleted a couple of times a day.

I didn't realise that rebuilds should happen but I suppose seeing as it is a hard drive the same rules apply.

    Thanks again
