Sick Notes from doctors

    My situation is that I was sick with a vomiting bug from last saturday untill yesterday, only felt better today. I was dying on saturday and sunday and still felt rough for most of monday.

    Have an important final year college assignment due thursday... ive lost 3 days preparation time for this... theres only a certain amount i can get done for thursday it wont be as good as it could have been...

    Would a doctor give me a sick note covering those three days if i went to the clinic tomorrow (wednesday)?

    I would think definitely. Just tell him how sick you were, you should have no problem. If you were that sick, doctor will understand.

    It depends on the Doctor. My Doctor gave me a post sickness sick note once but he's known me since I was a kid and his dad was my doctor before him.

    I would think most GP's would be understanding in this situation. I'd be surprised if you had any problem.

    People with vomiting bugs shouldn't be going outside anyway, it's quite understandable that you weren't going into the GP while you were sick.
