Which 7-seater Family Car?

Have 3rd child due to arrive in the next couple of months and looking to get a 7 seater. Currently have a SEAT Altea and it won't take three kid seats on the rear seat (2 Isofix + 1 rear facing baby seat) and has no room for extra bodies.

Ideally I'm looking for something along the lines of a Ford S-Max that has a big back seat that will take all the kiddie seats, have 2 extra seats to carry grandparents, school run, when needed.

Not sure I want to go all the way up to a full 7 seater (Ford Galaxy, VW Sharan, etc) but would consider them. S-Max seems to be the best fit for what we need but that are a little expensive. I'm wondering what the other options are.

    Age Range: 2006 - 2009
    Budget: around 15K
Seats: must take 3 kids seats in back (2 ISOFIX, 1 rear facing baby seat)

My general thinking on this range of cars

    S-Max: good car, slightly expensive
Corolla Verso: perhaps a little small?
    Senic: french :)
    Picasso: see above :)
    Touran: Ugly

The Citreon C4 has a 7 seater option, and a pretty snazzy diesel engine.

Nothing really wrong with some french cars...

Opel Zafira (sp) would be another idea?

What mileage are you doing? :)

S-Max seems to be the best fit for what we need

    That's why I bought an S-Max!

I'd recommend the 2.0 diesel over the 1.8. Here's an 07 Zetec with leather and sunroofs for under €15K.

A multimac 3 seat system might be way cheaper than changing the car altogether

    Not that they cheap

Cheap enough to keep your Saloon and not have to worry about what your next car may be hiding! Wow! That's awesome!

That Mazda is cheap enough to justify €630 tax

Bought a 09 S-Max a few weeks back, very happy with it, much more room that the C-Max it replaced, lots of power too (1.8D)

What do people think of the Corolla Verso? (08-09 the old model). It's a little cheaper than the S-Max and it seems there are more of them about at the minute.

It's obviously not a lot to look at, but let's face it, I'm buying a boring family car at the end of the day and I'm more interested in safety, practicality and reliability at the end of the day
