    Hi All

Looking to head away from the 23/12/2011 till the 30/12/2011.

Im looking to head to any of the canary islands except Lanzarote.

Any recommandations on where to stay and how to get there.

    Cheers in advance.

    Scaremongering...

OP: The Canaries have a hell of a lot to offer in pretty much every sector of the market, but it might be a help if you could give some idea of budget, taste (relaxing/boozy).

Or perhaps do them all on a cruise? Norwegian and Royal Caribbean both operate cruises that take in Lanza, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and GC over the course of a week, or you could splash out on P&O: http://www.pocruises.com/Cruises/2011-Cruises/Canary-Islands-R119/?mode=overview&Search=true if the dates allow.

If you're looking for something cheaper, take a look at some of the regular tour operators.

yes, might have been a bit much on my part.

i know i wouldn't plan a holiday on bad things that could happen because it would be foolish.

That pretty much rules out travelling at all. Anything is possible to happen when travelling anywhere.

OP it definitely depends what kind of a holiday you are looking for and what kind of a budget you have. The canaries can be very expensive at that time of year for flights and accom compared to the rest of the year.

I usually book through ryanair or aerlingus for the flights, then use alpharooms.com for the accomodation. has always worked out cheapest for me in the past! have a nice holiday!
