    Mubarrak resigned. Around 800 people died before he left though.

    i know that egypt are us allies

    The US army have been there all along, parked in the Sinai since the 70's.
    You knew that already didn't you? Why haven't you referred to that as an invasion?

    The regime is already changing. The people are currently protesting because they say the change is taking too long. There's no need for NATO to muscle in to speed things up. It's easier to let it happen in it's own time. If the military decides not to release power, then there'd be a reason to move in.

    It's because the Egyptian military is trained, funded and supplied, primarily by the United States.
