Petrol Gauge

    Hi the petrol gauge has stopped working in my vauxhall zafira,

    How do i fix this? Is it a particular part i have to get and is it dear to get it fixed?

    I am no use with cars but if its easy enough to fix i will have a go at it :confused:

    first thing to do is check the fuses, it might be a simple fix

    As a quick test, try to take off the wire that goes to the sender, usually on the fuel tank under the rear seat but could be outside and touch it to earth with the ignition on and see if the gauge goes into the full. If it does, then its probably the sender is at fault, otherwise might be the gauge itself or the wiring to it.
