I've never had to return anything, is it a pain?

I was thinking about buying a TV and getting it delivered through Deliverme.ie but if it doesn't work right....that would be a pain I'd imagine....huge savings to be made though.

Hmmm, I was undecided but just writing this....F-it, I'll chance it.

Not the big TVs they don't, well maybe the odd one but the majority they don't/won't/aren't allowed to.

I am that boat at the moment. Just took delivery of a 42" lg tv. Had to do it through deliverme as amazon won't deliver this tv (several trial runs to the checkout resulted in me finding out at all lg's 32" and under would be delivered ,but not larger lg's. Large sony's can be delivered but not panny's or samsung's)
Any tv arrived. Played with it for about an hour, tried various inputs. All good. Then bad! Black screen.Sound but no image what so ever. Tried the usual on/off, unplug, leave, try again. googled problem. no joy.
So now I'm wondering what to do. Will probably ring LG ireland first to see if they'll cover it under its warrenty, but I expect them to tell me to send it back to the vendor. Which could result in a heafty shipping fee from here, then have to do the deliverme option again. ahhhh.
And I really was enjoying playing with it.

    ^^^^That's the risk alright.

Update Thread on how you get on?

    A little update.

Contacted Amazon.co.uk . They said that they would refund the price of the tv, but not replace. Also they would refund the cost of return shipping (having said that, it was left a little unclear if this meant from Ireland. I felt that it did, but thinking back to the conversation, it wasn't explicitily confirmed)
So i contacted LG ireland, who said no problem, its covered under warranty, and sent someone to pick up the tv. That was today. Its being looked at by a company in Newcastle,co Kildare, who handle LG's sevicing . So far, all seems reasonable, and no major questions as of yet. will up date when theres more to report (could be 3weeks before I get it back)

    Further update.
The tv was due back before Christmas, but after a few phone calls found out that parts had been ordered, fitted, and still problems with further parts ordered. This was going on right up until christmas eve, when they phoned to say the tv was pretty much dead.
Contacted LG, who saiod they couldn't do anything till they got a report from the repairers.
Got a phone call from the repairers, who in fairness explained the problems they had, and that basically in the end they ordered a full set of parts, so pretty much a new tv. They apologised and said they would have it ready in a few days.Which they did. All seems fine.
Also found out, that should the tv be found to be "beyond economical repair" that LG would issue to letter to you to bring tho the original retailer for a replacment or refund.would be up to amazon in this case to decide I think (also you'd have to return the tv to them)
