Hi all :) To mark the end of the Vet / Today in the Office exhibition, Exchange are hosting a discussion on the documentary photography process, this Sunday 27th November from 2.30-4pm. Both Darren (dakar) and myself will be there to talk about how the projects came about, the interplay of the roles of author and subject, how the photographs were influenced by outside sources and by each other, and their development into the form you see in the gallery at present. We’ll also be facilitating conversation on documentary photography in a wider context, and the importance of the social document as archive.

Full details are at http://vettheexhibition.com Hope to see some of you there!

Arrgh! I missed the exhibition & now I'll miss the talk as well

Are ye coming to Cork at all, like? Or will the talk be available online?

Best of luck with it - I have seen some of the exhibition photos online & think they are fantastic....Well done to you both.

Actually, I can be there, yay!

Hmmm...I went to David Creedon's talk in the Cork Co lib last night, (http://www.davidcreedon.com/), off to Kasabian in the point Sat night, & now to top it off, vettheexhibition on Sunday.

This is fairly out of the ordinary for me, my Culture glands will be inflamed!

    Anyway, what Sinead said.

Speaking as subject, photographer and collaborator, it was certainly an interesting process to be involved in from start to finish. If you're around, do call in and say hello :)

Great opportunity to hear more than just how did they set the camera settings, although there were some technicalities too.
Well done, it was my pleasure to be there.

I'll be honest and say I wasn't sure this was going to work. However, it was fabulously entertaining and informative. Well done to both of you!
