    hi,

ive had this problem before with this computer and it was 'fixed' but its happening again...

if i click on a video in youtube that has really loud sound levels its like the sound gets stuck and makes a really loud buzzing noise which crashes the computer and i have to power off completely

it seems to be sound related because it only happens when the videos are loud

(sometimes there are little glitches as if its about to happen)

any ideas what might be causing this?

    thanks!

Sounds like a sound driver problem. If you post the make & model, we might be able to track the driver down for you... also which version of Windows are you using?

Try this one from the Packard Bell website or if that doesn't work then try this one from the Realtek website (tick the box to accept, then download the 32bit Windows 7 download from the UK server (Site5) and try and run that)...

Don't really know what you mean by scratchy but what make & model is the webcam? Might have to update the driver for that too. The sound driver can be uninstalled too...
