Hi all, I was visiting Castlebar today and was fascinated to see a lane called Cavendish Lane. Does anyone know where this name comes from? It doesn't sound local, perhaps an old name? Thanx

It's named after Lord Frederick Cavendish. He founded the Connaught Telegraph newspaper.
