I heard that nuim has a card society, does anyone know when and where they meet up to play cards? And if so, what kind of games do they play?
    thanx

Pretty sure they get together every Tuesday in the Venue around 7?

Though drop into the Mary's in the office and they will be able to tell you, or talk to Naoise the clubs and socs officer :)

How much is it? Registration that is, for the tournament.

Can you just show up and join the club and play?

oh, ok, great thanx! Does anyone know, if they'd teach you how to play the games if you don't know how to play them?

    There's their facebook profile...

I don't think they run any kind of proper "training" sessions or that, but they are very friendly people and you could just send them a message as to what you had in mind. The main game they play is Texas Hold'em, but most people will know how to play lots of different variations & games.

The game every Tuesday is a €20 freeze-out, meaning when you're out, you're out!!! So it's quite an expensive way to learn considering most people start off with €5 games at home with friends.

They do run special events now and again for charity and that, so I'd still get in contact.
