Please help me choose

Placing a order for one of the following laptops this week with Komplett. Its a Xmas present for the son who is adamant that he wants a laptop ahead of a desktop for portability reasons. I have explained that performance wise a desktop at the same budget would murder a laptop but its his choice. Remaining within budget we have come down to these two..........

Option 1
8GB Ram
2GB Memory on the NVidia GT540
1366 x 768 res screen
No Bluetooth
No USB 3 port


Option 2
6GB Ram
1GB Memory on the NVidia GT540
1920 x 1080 res screen
Bluetooth
1 USB 3 port
Bang & Oulfsen sound

The main purpose will be gaming coupled with general surfing and email. It will also be using the MS Office suite. On the gaming side of things the son knows that using a laptop will have its drawbacks but he is still hopefull of playing some of the latest games (BF3) at reduced settings.

The one question I have is that if you had to choose 1 which one would it be ??????????????

Battlefield 3 is playable on Low settings at 35fps according to Notebookcheck. 30fps is considered the line between playable and headwrecking.

Of those two, I'd go with the first one, Bluetooth has little use, USB 2 is fine unless he'll be moving alot of really Large files....alot, no point having hi res screen on 15inch screen, reading reviews most people reckon their is no point having Full HD on anything less than 32-37inch as you just won't notice the difference.
