    Hello,
can anyone recommend a free, downloadable photo editing software, with no strings attached? Doesn't need to be complicated but need to be able to reduce file sizes, crop, re-size, etc.

Picasa suits most such needs unless you need retouching, spot corrections etc.

MS paint will crop and re size smaller. Gimp is free but I have never used it.

Agree on Picasa. Used it for a long time before upgrading to Lightroom.

Note you can used it for retouching and spot corrections. Great piece of software for storing and labeling your photos too.

I use Gimp and is does the job. Takes a little bit to get used to it but not too bad. Plenty of tutorials out there.
