Well done for putting up the qualifiers, a lot of fans sometimes are'nt aware that these matches are taking place

Regarding Ronnie pulling out with illness, seeing that he qualifies automatically and the main event isnt on until February i think he may have some explaining to do if he's planning to pull a sickie this soon!!

Was thinking that myself, was quoted from a trusted snooker website though! Maybe he's planning a sickness and didn't put himself into the hat for the tourney :P

Too many of those websites knocking about and they never get the facts right, the German Masters was one of the best ranking events last season, nearly every session was sold out, the german people love their snooker and i know that most of the players are looking forward to going back in February.

Regarding O'Sullivan although he does have a track record of withdrawing from overseas events he will need to play in this event and the Welsh that follows soon after as with his low ranking he will need to pick up points before the final seeding cut off point that will determine the top 16 players for the world's in Sheffield.

i may be wrong here but didnt phil arnold who plays for celbridge get a wildcard entry to this tournament for winning the amateur event at the PTC in killarney last month?
i dont see his name in the draw.or maybe he's straight tru to the t.v stages already?

He's straight through to the wildcard round in Germany, those matches are played the day before the televised event begins next Feb.

Final round of the qualifiers on today. Nice to see Wattana winning 2 matches and playing today, also White is through to the last round. Swail's form has improved a little winning the first round and just loosing 5-4 to Hamilton yesterday. Davis is out. Ken plays this morning at 10pm.

Great win for Ken against youngster Sam Craigie, he trailed 4-0 at the interval but came back and won the next five including a ton to win 5-4.
Might just have to go to Berlin in Feb with him now !

Hendry beaten 5-1 by Wattana, first time in 22 years he won't appear at a tournament venue.

Jamie Cope and Marco Fu are also surprise exits. Veteran Adrian Gunnell and upcoming star Yu Delu have beaten off strong competition. Jimmy White JUST misses out by losing 5-4 to Ebdon.

Ireland's own Fergal O' Brien is also in with a shout when he goes head to head with Liu Song, who was beaten by Fergal himself in the UK Championship qualifying 9-8.

O'Brien gone, beaten 5-4 by Liu Song

Uh Fergal, thought he was good at 3-1 up. A man can only take so much setbacks.

tbh any time I've seen him play he seems to crack under pressure. So many bad decisions at vital points. He's overdefensive when it seems to matter and eventually is forced into mistakes. He's a good player with a lot of potential, but that's his downfall. Pity really.

Have to disagree with you slightly on that one, although I wouldn't consider myself a fan of Fergal I don't think he cracks under pressure as often as you would suggest. He certainly is over cautious and always has been since he was a junior on the amateur scene but he's made a decent career out of adopting that style of play and after grafting hard for the last season he's found himself back in the top 32.

Devestated jimmy lost 5-4 to ebbo, was a good match though, and he was in first in final frame but as usual not an ounce of luck when running into the reds.

Its good to see the whirlwind competing again, and virtually assuring himself a top48 spot at next cut off.

He's not assured of his top 48 spot just yet, he only has three ranking events and three PTC events left to play in, and with players like Mike Dunn, Dave Harold and a revitalised James Wattana closing in on him he still has some work to do.
