    Earlier this year, my ex GF contacted me after two years of no contact-she asked to meet up-so we met up for a coffee and went to her place-nothing happened between us-we got on quite ok- she asked to meet again and I agreed-two weeks after that I didn,t hear from her, and the number she gave me was gone I couldn,t get through, she works at my local supermarket, sometimes when she sees me shes smiles at me, other times she plain Ignores me completely,as if we never met, I don,t get this mixes signals thing.

    People like validation. By responding to her approaches, on her terms, you provide this validation. Once validated, people don't feel the need for further validation (until the feeling wears off) and as such, will not seek it.
