    Something wrong with radio.

    Shanwick is AM and 110MHz to 137MHz and also on HF.

    Directly under a mast is often poor signal due to angle of radiation and height of mast to give best overall coverage.

    IF is 10.7MHz
    So image is at 21.4MHz

    Thus 100MHz on dial can be 121.4MHz. Most FM modern radios have fairly poor RF Tuning.

    88 = 109.4MHz
    108 = 129.4MHz

    Air band is 110MHz to 137MHz.

    FM radio with simple detectors and signal not strong enough to limit will detect AM.

    Mobile gear is rarely on TV/Radio masts as the coverage is too great. If it is, the aerials are angled down for local coverage. The aerials on mast for TV and Radio are designed for much further coverage so give a poor signal directly below mast. I'm sure with a proper aerial your VHF-FM and TV would be perfect.
