Best place to exchange Sterling?

    I have 500 pound sterling that i need to convert to euro i wondering which bank/building society had the best rate's lowest fee's commission ect?

    Ask your friends/family if any of them are heading up north anytime soon, and sell them the stg at the market value. Cut out the middleman, yous both win!

    It would make sense for there to be a centralised location where you can compare exchange rates and fees.

    Tried already i think i am going to go to the post office tomorrow i heard they dont charge commission

    No bank will match the rates that you can get there.

    If you know any students ask them to do it. I was working in London last summer and brought back some sterling. Because I was a student there was no fee.
