(Cheap) coat for over a suit

I'm looking for a coat/mac for wearing over a suit. Its for wearing to interviews so it needs to look good, but I don't want to spend too much money on it.

So, any recommendations on what to get, and where to get it cheap!

Well the main thing you need to look for is that the length of the coat needs to be longer that the suit jacket, otherwise it looks awful. A single breasted wool/wool mix coat would look best (in my opinion). You're probably going to be looking at spending upwards of €50 at least.

You're looking for something with very little detailing, in a grey, camel or navy- for versatility I'd go with grey or navy, they'll work with most suit colours, whereas black is hard to wear with a suit other than grey or black.

Spend a day doing a trawl of the shops and you'll end up with something wonderful. Full length, pure wool for €25.00 or under.

Got a nice black overcoat in Tescos for €23 last week (reduced from €59). Think they also sold it in grey.
