    Hi
Am looking into Business International(French) and European Business(French) in DCU, just wondering what are the differences between the two -in terms of workload ,points required to be accepted onto the course and the time spent abroad ?
    :)

I'm final year EBF, so I can tell you anything you want about EB but I don't remember a lot about Intl business. As far as i remember International business is 2 languages but they may have changed it since I started in DCU.

I'd go for EB, (and obviously I did :P). You get 2 degrees in the end. You spend 2 years in DCU and 2 years in france at Reims Management School - a private business school or grand école in Reims (champagne region).

Lots of work in France but DCU is fine. About 15 hours a week or so. Also you do 2 workplacements (they say you get paid, and while you do its not a lot in France for interns(stagiares).

I think its around 435 for points to get in. I'd imagine Intl business is something similar.

If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer them :)

    Hi all,

I am doing my LC this year and I am in the process of deciding which course I want to do....

I am undecided between a career in secondary school teaching or business with a language (french).

The only Business course with a language I am really interested in doing is Business Studies International in DCU.

I would really like to know if there is anyone out there is who is currently studying this course or whom have studied this course if they could possibly give me some information regarding it....

Thank you very much in advance!

If you have any specific questions about the course I can answer them. I did that course (finished now) although I think they are slightly changing it next year.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the reply. My questions are;

    1) Are the job opportunities good? I know there is a demand for business and a language....

    2) Does the course have a good reputation?

    3) Is the year abroad good? I would be doing French as my language and would be going to Reims for my year.

    Thanks a million!

    1. I'm currently looking for one.. so I'll have to get back to you on that one!! But generally speaking yes. Definitely much better that a regular business degree. You can do 2 internships (one in each country) so if you get ones relevent to you that can be helpful

    2. They tell us that it does... I'm not sure how true that is. RMS is a private business school so that helps

    3. Its 2 years not one. And its the best! I highly recommend it. Reims is really nice small but nice. RMS sounds better on paper. In reality its not the easiest place to deal with but its a great experience and overall the bad things only make you stronger. You meet great people and its looks really good on the CV to have spent 2 years living, working and studying in France.

Overall I'm really happy I did it. I dont know much about the equivelent course s but if the others dont give the international experience then its not truely an international course is it.

If theres anything else you want to know ask away and good luck.

    Thanks a million...

Do you feel you have a good competency in French now after 2 years?

Also, are you optimistic about job prospects? For me, after graduating, I would like to work in Business in London or Paris. Are opportunities there good for graduates of a degree such as this?

    Thanks again!
