4x4 Modifications for hunting?

I have a 1992 Hilux, fairly standard. There is a good set of mud-terrain tyres and a bullbar on it. I'm thinking of customizing it for hunting. My intention is to take off the load bed and make a flatbed covered body with enough room for a dog-box and a quad to be carried on the back with pull out ramps underneath. The canopy would have a hinged lid to allow the quad to be driven up on the back and allow for easy cleaning/acsess/lamping. My intention is to include a winch and other storage areas for gear. Good lighting would also be essential.
Has anybody here done anything similar or has any pics or links to get ideas from?

Best of luck with it. In my mind, already have the most important thing. decent M/T tyres.

Winch a good idea but defiantly would consider a high-lift jack as well or even before the bigger spend on the winch.

Worth having a look at the british 4x4 magazine, most news agents seem to have it here. Lots of adds for various custom accessories for all makes of vehicle. http://www.4x4i.com/
Of all the Japanese vehicles, that generation Hilux seems to have the best selection of good quality custom accessories and replacement parts available for it at reasonable prices.
Have bought parts online for friends who still don't use a computer, from these people for much better prices than could find at home.

ya thats a nice one for sure. Aluminum to cut down on the weight, and a couple of nice locking tool boxes on the sides underneath for tow ropes and 4x4 recovery tools.

OP, what type of hunting are you planning?

You're talking about a dog box, what kind of dogs? ie refer to Q 1

Not enough info for the (serious) hard core to offer advice

    Cheers

Have an Italian Spinone, 2 setters, a springer, my brothers springer to carry around, not all at the one time though. All types of hunting really, birds, deer, foxing. Looking to convert the back into a serious all-purpose hunting rig
