Good Tutorial book for ubuntu or linux in general?

Hey guys. Ive been dabbling in Ubuntu for a while now and have recently switched to xubuntu. The main thing I find that is holding me back is I don't really understand how everything is working? Are there any good tutorial books that explain linux well? Id like to understand the commands and stuff and really be proficient with it.

Your distro should have this in its repository .... if not you can find it on line. RUTE
