Ohhh interesting.... Is it just providing you with the previous NCT date or is it possible to get more info?

Any other crafty ways of finding out other info?

Nct plan only works if car is due for a test, you could be waiting.

Your only hope is if you have a mate who's a cop. However if he checks it the pulse system logs his search and he could end up in very hot water if it was ever flagged in the future.

    The better question is why?

I always take copy of log book so have their details should I ever need them. Remember before back in the 90's my mother sold her car for few hundred pounds to a guy from clondalkin, thinking nothing of it she signed the log book and gave it to him to fill out (Id get them to sign and post it off myself and this is why). Few weeks later the guards call to the door and ask for registered owner of the car. I tell them my mother sold it a few weeks back and why. They tell me it has been used in an armed robbery in cork and it was still registered to our address . Lucky enough they believed us otherwise mother could have been looked at as get away driver

Altho you would want to be a right tool to use your own car as getaway car if it was ever caught on camera.

Again why are people giving the log book to the buyer?

Exactly and if someone used the Pulse system to trace me it would be an Ombudsman complaint I would make, clearly abuse of power.
