do you need a hard drive aswell? because of the hdd shortage there now over 3 times there normal price so you'll save yourself a fortune if you have one to throw into it, if not heres what i'd suggest:

    Item|Price
    Total build cost: €562.17 + €30 shipping
    AMD Athlon II X3 455 "Boxed" 95W, Sockel AM3|€66.86
    ASUS M5A78L LE, Sockel AM3+, ATX|€49.46
    4GB-Kit Corsair Twin3X4096-1333C9A DDR3, CL9|€21.41
    Sapphire HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express|€121.66
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB SATA 6GB's|€99.00
    Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA|€15.21
    D-Link AirPlusG DWL-G510 Wireless PCI-Adapter|€16.06
    BitFenix Merc Beta|€31.86
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W|€41.65
    Acer P196HQVBD (DVI)|€79.00
    Rechner - Zusammenbau|€20.00

If you have a spare HDD to use in this rather then buying a new one you could upgrade to faster graphics card, 8gb of ram and maybe upgrade to a quad core processor

The 6850 is fine tbh. A wiser use of any extra money you may have would be to go for an Intel system rather than AMD.

Ahhh i see ^^. What Intel based board and processor would u suggest that would be somewhat within budget?

Comes to around €29 more than the previous build.

Although to be honest, i'd bite the bullet and get an i5-2300. It's €52 more expensive than the i3 but it will hold its own for a lot longer than an i3 due to it being quad core rather than dual core.

Brilliant! Thanks again to both of u for ur help, much appreciated.

This is a sort of a noob question but I'd said i'd ask u guys anyhow...

Do i need to included any cables in the order? eg: Sata cable for the HD etc?
I havent seen them being included in any of the other builds here on boards

No need. Motherboards usually include a SATA cable or two in the box. But if you'd prefer, just buy a cable or two with your order. They're only a few cent.

Actually, I just realised you included a HDD in your order. Bad idea tbh. €100 for a 500GB HDD is a rip off.

Get a 500GB HDD for €20 on Adverts and get a bigger/faster HDD when prices go back to normal.

That saving of €80 could open up your budget for a P67/i5-2500k setup which is moving in to mid-upper range rather than the Athlon setup you had previously which was low-mid range. Not only that but 4.0GHz+ overclocking will mean the system will absolutely annihilate anything else mentioned in this thread.

    Total build cost: €609.18 + €30 shipping
    Rechner - Zusammenbau €20.00
    Acer P196HQVBD (DVI) €79.00
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W €41.65
    BitFenix Merc Beta €31.86
    TP-Link TL-WN821N 300M Wireless N USB €10.05
Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA €15.21
    Sapphire HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express €121.66
    4GB-Kit Corsair Twin3X4096-1333C9A DDR3, CL9 €21.41
    Intel Core i5-2500K Box, LGA1155 €185.73
    ASRock Z68M/USB3, Sockel 1155, mATX €82.61

Add a €20 HDD from Adverts and you've got a real monster of a system for not that much more than you'd originally bargained for. Only €67.01 more than the original Athlon system. Well worth it for the difference in power. If you're willing to spend €12 more get 8GB. I know it'd be pushing the budget a bit but that extra 4GB will make a world of difference when gaming.

    All those links are fail.

    All those links are fail.

Stick "www.hardwareversand.de/" in front of each, and they'll work. It was an error in the script that's since been fixed.

Just curious ... how long was delivery time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33 dave_ireland

Took 5 working days once the payment went through, i used 365 online for the internaltional money transfer, was all very simple and trouble-free, atm im configuring my 2nd order from them, hoping to place the order early January ^^

Hey, I'm ordering from them now too, just have to wait for my bank to send an activation code so I can transfer the money to them. Just wondering, how do they identify your payment with your order, there doesn't seem to be any place to add your order number to the payment.

I would think that the IBAN and swift thing is different for each order, with AIB they let you send a short message with the transfer so I put my order number there to be sure, but I doubt it's neccesary.

I'm nearly sure the IBAN number is always the same, make sure you put your order number down, I went into B.O.I and filled out the form, they have space for invoice number, that's were I put my order number.
It might be the same online.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

IBAN and Swift code are always the same. It's just an international format of sort code and account number.

The identifier for your specific order is the "Intended purpose" tag. Use that in the comment or sender option.

Ah ok, not so bad. Was just a bit worried :D Thanks :)

Online has 'Intended Purpose' and 'message for recipient'. I just stuck the reference number in both and it seems to work.
