Barca 3-0 up now, Puyol with the third, debatable as to whether it was offside.

What an ending, looked a hand ball on first viewing but hard to say. Good second half, keep em coming la liga.

I only saw the last 20 minutes or so, but it was like looking at Aston Villa, rather than Real Madrid, at times. They were overrun far too easily in midfield; defended too deep and just kept knocking the ball forward once they won possession, hoping for one of their speedsters to hit Valencia on the break.

Did I miss something; is MON in charge at Real now?

Madrid were very poor in the second half, very negative but they played better in the first half.
They have been like that in alot of matches this season, playing in fits and starts .

This was their first big test as they have had an extremely easy series of matches so far in the league and they just about won the match but they looked extremely uncomfortable when pressed by Valencia.

Mourinho is a negative coach and when he goes up in the big matches he tries to shut up shop,he tried that tonight,it didnt really work,he was effectively playing 3 holding midfielders in the second half .
Only 3 weeks to go to El Classico :)

I thought that's been postponed due to Barca's involvement in the club world cup?

    Unlucky Valencia :o

That second half was absolutely epic, at the end of the day one must applaud Valencia. Their budget must only be a tiny fraction of Madrids, and to keep in mind that they have sold on players such as Silva, Villa, Mata, Albiol etc

Two points about that game, both coaches could be accused of being cynical and not having a go earlier. In the first half Madrid looked happy to defend a 1-0 lead and hit them on the break, when they have the players to finish any team off at 1-0! Unai Emery could also be criticised for not bringing on Pablo earlier. The chap literally changed the game! I remember first seeing him 2 or 3 seasons ago when he used to come on for Mata/Silva/Jaoquin, he's pace is frightening and he can cross the ball better than some of Barca/Madrids wide players.
Does he have the same faith as his former team mates? hardly, he is a die hard Valencia fan living his dream at the club he grew up in :)

The Barca game was quiet enjoyable too, Iniesta, Cesc and Thiago look our or form players. But form is temporary, class is pernament and Messi once again lit up the show with a few glimpses of brilliance!

What is worrying though is Xavi and Villa's recent run of form. Both seem to be showing signs of exhaustion. That's definitely the case with Xavi any way. Villa might be suffering with a lack of confidence. I'd love to see him play a few games in the centre again, as to get him a couple of goals

OApart from Pablo, Spain is producing countless players who look as if they might be the next big thing. I've been thoroughly impressed with Atletic Bilbao's Munian.
    Excuse the music :P

Great win for Bilbao again today, they are really improving after the slow start to the season. Muniain was brilliant again today, he is a totally different player with his more central role.
