Hey, I just got into airsoft, played only 7 times so far, and well when I go to games I carry with me bag which holds everything and it adds up to about 8-12 kg about. I just came from game and my back is all in pain, would you say I will get used to that? :D

Try not carrying the bag of gear everywhere lol.

A vest to spread the load would help.

Is that 8 to 12kg in the bag on top of the rest of your gear or is 8 to 12kg the total weight of all the gear you're playing in?

Either way you'll get used to it eventually.

Your back being sore can mean many things, consult a physiotherapist not and airsoft forum dude. We haven't got a clue what we're talking about.

8-12 kg, harden the **** up tbh.

You really don't need to carry all that stuff with you at the one time. It's a bit pointless really. Get a good vest. A few mag pouches, a holster, grenade pouch and a utility pouch is all you really need.

guys i think he means that what he carrys to and from the site in his bag.
after a full days gaming you will be tired and then having to carry all your stuff over your shoulder on your way home will put extra strain on you as your not used to it.
as gerrowadat says "harden the **** up".get a proper back pack, not a duffle bag,and it should get better in time.

It's funny because that actually sounds like a lot to me. I carry one mid cap in my pocket (one in the gun) and a grenade in my chest pocket. I couldn't wear all that, it'd be to constricting when your trying to move around.

@arleitiss, if you back is sore either have a rest and see if it gets better or consult a doctor dude.

I suppose that's like same as you would excercise for first time, be in pain next day, but then get used to it.

when i started, over time i accumulated a lot of gear and it was killing me to run around fully kitted out(im a smoker),now all i roll with is my BDU and a dump pouch for bbs and 2 extra mags and i dont be near as recked as i used to be

I was considering getting a dump pouch, every now and then I'd bring 4 mid caps in and it can get awkard when changing mags. I don't like wearing tac vests at all and I'm a smoker myself. May just bite the bullet and grab one so ;)

Yeah but I'd only be throwing 3 mid caps and a thunber b tube in, I do hate the floppy **** though. I had the same problem with a leg holster a while back and I end up just giving it away to some guy covering me but sure nice one anyway, I'll give it a go and crack on from there.

Your back is one of the most complicated areas in the body - it houses the main nerves for your CNS, acts as the primary support structure of the body, and is responsible for a lot of articulation.

If you're feeling pain in your back, it is a very good idea to isolate the pain and work out is it serious. Do you feel it on your spinal erectors (muscles lining either side of the spine)? Does it feel more toward the traps (muscles from neck to shoulders)? Do you feel it toward the bottom of the spine at the hips? Or does it feel like it's emanating from the spinal column itself?

If you can't answer any of those questions; go to a physical therapist (they deal with muscles and trigger points), physiotherapist, or chiropractor. Seriously. It's your spine...last time I looked they are very expensive to replace.

If you can answer those questions, then you can also isolate whether or not it is a build up of tension due to improper carrying/lifting procedure, or even muscular imbalance. Once again, if you cannot work it out, go to a professional.

You obviously feel it enough if it warranted posting on boards.ie. Do yourself a favour; go to a professional.
