I'll happily boot you out myself. No need for the likes of you around anyway.

I can't be 100% certain but the records office (the people who handled your registration) are probably the people to ask.

Talk to academic advisory first, they seem to know the ins and outs of all of this academic related stuff.

Transfers don't happen much in Ireland as far as I know, since its difficult to shoe horn different courses together across institutions.

Also, 3rd level is what you make of it, at the end of the day the only person pushing you should be yourself. don't expect the lecturers and staff to spoon feed you or cater exclusively to your interests.

I know of one, not sure of the ins and outs of it, but I think this person changed degree in the process.

True. But we don't know on what the OP has based his decision.

Frankly with an attitude like that, I don't want to know.
I've met far too many people here with an attitude problem like the one I described prior and I've come to put blaming the university as a symptom of this.

I may be wrong, but frankly I don't care.
I wish the OP the best with his future endeavours, hopefully his next university will be more to his liking

There's more evidence of an attitude problem with some of the replies than the OP. ie Referencing Trinity? LOL

You'd swear by the replies than NUIM was as good as it could be and has no faults whatsoever. I hope nobodies that ignorant o.O

Judging the OP on a word(dump) is a pretty ignorant thing to do and personally I'd prefer to actually listen to what someone has to say before labeling them as a yuppy or having an attitude problem.

    To the OP;
I've heard that trying to get a transfer sorted within your own Uni isn't very easy(I've heard they don't like people moving from their own) and that you're more likely to get help from that place you're planning to join than from the place you're currently in. People do do it and if you don't think Maynooth is right for you or isn't helping you get where you want to be, then go ahead and do it.

    OP,
Contact the faculty/college office of the university to which you want to transfer, and they will tell you whether you can, in principle, transfer, and what you will need to do to achieve this. I would do this sooner rather than later, as the closing date for transfers can be early in the summer (ie. very soon after you get your results for 2011-12).

Nobody is doubting NUIM's problems, nor is NUIM everyones cup of tea, but in the past when other users have asked this question they have at least given a reason rather then put the whole place down.

well what else would you pass judgement on the intent of his request? by his charm and manners alone?

I'l feel its rather ignorant to call others ignorant just because your ignorant of their views, the OP hasn't since replied to any posts or made any clarifications on their position.
It might be that they are still knee deep in the wranglings of university transfer or maybe they were acting as a troll.

I'd have gladly offered advice if the OP had asked nicely, sure I was considering transferring myself! (Just deferring, you can't get rid of me muahaha :D)
