Can anyone tell me a just site that I can use to create an online discussion forum. I want to create a user forum where people can come and discuss technical components of a particular hobby that I have.

    Cheers

This page mentions a few "make your own forum" options

Perhaps one of those will do?

if its simple requirements that you have then why not try a simple facebook page where people can post questions, other people can reply / create new posts, etc... You can anoint administrators of the page who have the power to remove posts, delete & ban if offensive postings are made etc...

This obviously isn't a fully fledged forum but meh... could have enough to get you going with what you want without starting to host a forum of your own.

Facebook isn't really the right kind of space for it. It doesn't give the contributors the same privacy as say using a random username. Also it'd give rise to all manner of embarrassing friend dilemmas with randomers in Arizona trying to befriend you and then rifling through your personal albums etc.

It's for very specific subject and I want to use it as a free discussion forum for craftsmen. It's not for advertising or anything like that, so would like to create a forum which would cost the bare minimum to run.
