    Hi all,

Just got my hands on a Nikon D50 body and I want to get into photography. I have no lens for it and was wondering if people could advice me what to get to start out... will be used for general run of the mill shots at the moment and I am on a tight budget.

    Thanks :)

A used Nikon 18-55mm kit lens seems like the obvious choice.
A VR (stabilised) one will set you back about €60-100. There are
a few on adverts.ie at the moment.

i'd strongly recommend the 35mm f1.8; probably not as easy to come by secondhand though.
