    Hello folks.
I posted a question about the value of a guitar before but had it locked because of forum rules. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056431371 ...fair enough but the problem is that there doesnt seem to be any information on the internet about this guitar.

Can anyone advise me on how to get a value on a guitar. Is there anyone that you could class as an expert?
any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

You could try places like Jimi's Music Store but I'm not sure they could tell you much more than you already know.. At the minimum they could look at the quality of the guitar and give you a ball park figure..

Yoojin to come from Korea, and seem to make guitars for various manufacturer's
"YOOJIN INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. is manufacture of acoustic guitar, acoustic/electric guitar, acoustic base guitar, electric guitar and electric bass guitar. YOOJIN is exporting musical instruments to all over the world since 1973 year. So, the history of YOOJIN is over 25 years. We have two factory of guitar in Korea. Acoustic guitar is producing in Yangju factory of Korea and electric guitar is producing in Guangju factory of Korea."

They are mentioned on the Ibanez boards for making Artstar guitars, but them seem to be a lot lower quality than the Japanese equivalents and have much lower value.. So it's doesn't initially sound like they produce high quality instruments.

if you get a setup done on it by a good luthier, which in itself is a good selling point, they should give you the best value for it - john moriarty or gerry haze, i think john moriarty would be the better man for acoustics. the binding details on the guitar would suggest a good quality instrument, it's not generally something that gets done if keeping costs down is the main factor.

lots of korean made acoustics here for 800 plus.

Generally a factory that make own brand guitars are instruments as good as the branded guitars they make but at a fraction of the price.

On saying that, after a good bit of looking i still can't find much info on yoojin specifically.

None of the guitars listed on their page are all solid, but the ones with the faux abalone rosette, which is most similar to yours but with a cutaway, is a solid top.
So Id assume yours is a W70 or similar version of it.

I wouldnt expect an x-brand dreadnought with a solid top and eq to be fetching big money. You are probably looking at about 250-300 range at a guess.
