cult conspiracy{general question}

    I'm just watching this mad...{want of a better word}...story on the discovery channel...jonestown cult dont know if anyone seen it.
    i'm just wondering is there a conspiracy here!? i don't know?......Or what were the conspiracy theories of the time...1978!?
    Or is it hard to point to a conspiracy when the leader of said cult{or any other cult} is just stone wall mad!!!???

    Apparently it was a CIA psy ops experiment. It was fcked up, unbelievably, I wonder how people could just follow this guy and go along with the insanity of the project and not revolt.
